These are the initial designs I created for my vinyl decal. I didn't end up using any of these designs because they weren't turning out the way I wanted them to, but nevertheless I'm very satisfied with my final design.
After completing my design, I separated the different colors onto separate artboards. I did this so that I can cut out each color one at a time on the vinyl cutter.
In conclusion.
During this rotation, I learned how to create a vinyl decal in Illustrator. Before doing this project, I had no idea how decals were applied. I was under the impression that each piece was stuck onto the surface one at a time. I was not aware that transfer tape was used to keep the decal assembled when sticking it onto a surface. This project was very fun and simple for me and I hope to do more like it in the future.
